Hey guys.

Just wanted to let you know that I've got problems going on with the power adapter on my laptop that have been building up for weeks but have actually became proper problems just now. So, I'll be online until my battery dies. After that, I'monna take a little break for a while until I can get my power issues sorted out.

Wanted to give you guys a heads up. :)

UPDATE: Thought I had it fixed, but it's broke again now. Hiatus continues...

It may be a cold solder joint on the main power capacitor. At least that's what got me the first time mine started to fail, during a camping trip of all things where I didn't have any intentions of bringing a soldering iron! What's more, even though I fixed it, it wasn't too long afterward that it did it again, but second time was the charm and it's been going since then. Keep in mind that the laptop itself was from ~2005. It's my dad's now. :meow: HOWEVER, if you have a dell power supply (and corresponding dell laptop), or the power supply itself has three pins on the connector, (one particularly small compared to the others), then the source of that problem arises from greed insofar as I can tell, (i.e. that is there's a sorry signal chip in the PS telling the computer, "I'm official, you can use me."). I know I already told you that before, but it helps to have a refresher. ^^
