Now that I've got the Very Important Pony catalogue up and running, allow me to further explain what I plan to do with such a catalogue.
First of all, I plan on including as many ponies as I can in it. I'm starting with the mane six and CMC, but I've got it open to suggestions as well. If you want to see a pony represented in the VIP catalogue, let me know in the comments here, in the comments there, in the comments anywhere, or send me a note. As long as it's a canon character and it's appeared in the show enough for me to get some good traces, I'll agree to do it. Coco Pommel was added to the list at the suggestion of , and with a simple comment or note, you can see your favorite pony represented as well!
As far as what I do with the ponies I'll be adding, I look up at least 2 different screencaps that I think are good representations of the character, interesting expressions... etc. Once I have the two, I add 'em to my reference folder so they can await vectorization. I don't attack these things in order, so don't be surprised if you don't see your suggested pony crop up immediately after you made the request. If I say I'll do that pony -- though it may take time for me to get to -- I will do that pony.
In general, the catalogue will feature only ponies who are traced from the show and only single ponies per entry. I could include entries like Cheerilee Does Not Want, but A) it's already part of its own series, and B) it runs the risk of complicating the organization system I already have in place. So one pony per deviation.
In the end, I plan to have two different and individual vectors for each pony in the catalogue, so Rarity, Fluttershy and Spike are all already taken care of.
Finally, before you make your suggestion, make sure to check the VIP catalogue folder to make sure they aren't on the list. I'll have right there in the description a list of included ponies and ponies I plan to include, as well as some way of indicating what I have and don't have done.
Thanks for reading, guys. Let's get this catalogue as expansive as possible!

A Wild Journal Entry Has Appeared!
Okay so you guys may have noticed art's still been really slow around here.
Hecks, a lot of you probably thought I was dead.
Well, I'm not.
There's a couple of reasons I haven't been doing much uploading in the art department lately. One of them is I've got a not very big but still super cool and secret project that I'm working on right now and don't wanna spoil you for. ;) The other, more boring reason is I've been super busy at work making money to pay my bills. Just recently picked up a third part-time job, and so far the three of them are playing (and paying) very nicely together.
But! The most important reason I've been slowing down
Cartoon Canon and Other Asinine Things
So on the topic of Lapis Lazuli's outfit and whether its a full dress or a crop-top-skirt combo, I remembered seeing this behind-the-back shot of Lapis in the episode "Barn Mates"
and thinking, "Hey. That line they drew for her spine... crease... thing... if she was really wearing a crop top, surely that would continue down past the alleged bottom of her top, right? I mean it's not too much distance to cover, and I've seen one or two fanmade redraws where they - agreeing that it should be there if she was wearing a crop top - added it in.
So maybe it's an animation error, or maybe she really does have a blue band around the midsection of he
More free time, more art?
Maybe.
Recently the company I've been working for for the past few months decided that they wanted to "move in a different direction" and gave me the slip - the pink slip, that is.
So as of that day, I'm currently unemployed. I'm gonna work on finding another job, but in the meantime, this raises an important question. With so much newfound free time on my hands, does this mean I'll start really cranking out the arts for you guys to enjoy? The answer is... maybe. It all depends if I can get myself off my fat duff and pull myself away from the world of casual games for long enough to actually work on something. :XD:
So Now I've Taken Up Song Parodies as a Hobby
Got my hands on a copy of Vocaloid V4 a while back, and I figured what was the best way I could use it?
Why, to make song parodies of course!
So dear watcher, have you ever wanted to hear Crypton-Vocaloid Hatsune Miku sing a parody of Maroon 5's 'Payphone' in which she's really hungry and also kind of a selfish jerk?
WELL, HAVE I GOT THE VIDEO FOR YOU?
Note that I made everything but the backing track.
